The “Connected Factories” project establishes a structured overview of available and future technological approaches and best practices regarding the digitization of manufacturing. For several years, KITT4SME and SPS Lab have been carrying out research activities on the issue of digitalization of production and have been building pilot industrial demonstrators, positioning themselves as primary players in the European context.
During the workshop, Andrea Bettoni, senior researcher and lecturer at ISTePS, explained how the KITT4SME project supports European SMEs and mid-caps in the adoption of artificial intelligence within their production systems. This became even more evident with the presentation of the four KITT4SME’s AI-driven demonstration pilots made so far.
